Why EMDR?

  • EMDR can be more effective and faster than “talk therapy”

  • It does not re-traumatize you through the retelling of distressing details

  • Something as simple as, “My 5th birthday,” or “That thing my mother said” Is all you have to tell me!

  • I won’t ask you “Tell me how that makes you feel?”

    • But I will say “Go with that” approximately 10 million times

  • Traumatic memories can appear less vivid, or faded, or more distant

  • You will learn to identify with new positive beliefs such as I am good enough, I am safe now, or I am lovable

  • We get to laugh every time you call it EDMR, ERDM, or even EDM (electronic dance music)

  • We end every session with grounding techniques to ensure you leave feeling ready to take on the rest of your day
